My name is Mary Elizabeth, I’m a Southern girl with the double-name to match. I write and research smut because pleasure is one of my core values. I believe everyone, no matter their sexuality, gender, disability, or body shape, deserves good sex, great books, and the joy of human connection. That’s why I not only write smut myself, I also research and write about creating an ethical framework for depicting sex and pleasure in books.

I have a Master’s Degree in Creative Writing, where I wrote my thesis on genre expectations in workplace romances and what it tells us about women’s relationships to work. It was during the arduous task of getting a graduate degree and working full-time that I discovered my love for monster romances as the ultimate cozy escape from the real world.
